Job Description

Contract assignment with a large company for a Materials Control Specialist within a nuclear power generating facility. Excellent opportunity to work for a premier company located in the Southeastern U. S. Responsibilities: -> Responsibilities include securing all parts and materials as identified in the design change package and by the Project Implementation Engineers necessary for implementation of the design -> Responsibility for securing all contractor and vendor services as identified by the Project Implementation Engineers and the Asset Manager necessary for construction and/or testing -> Coordinates closely with Supply Chain and vendors for the procurement delivery receipt and issuance of materials -> Provides job material lists (JML's) for contractor craft personnel to check material out of the warehouse -> Provides approval for contractor craft personnel to check material out of the site trailer -> Verifies that material costs are within the design estimate/budget when securing materials as well as prior to releasing material approval for warehouse and site trailer items -> Verifies timesheet for site trailer attendant -> Tracks material costs by providing weekly summary of materials and services procured as well as materials issued from the warehouse and site trailer -> Provides support for end-of-year cost projections for services and materials issued from the warehouse and Site Trailer Requirements: -> No Degree required -> Materials Control experience in Electrical Power generation plant -> Previous experience with Farley Nuclear plant or Southern Nuclear desired -> Previous experience in cost tracking as well as procurement of materials and services for construction projects desired -> Must have excellent work ethics and organizational skills -> Requires a hands-on attitude along with excellent written and oral communications skills -> Experience with large construction projects within the power generation industry or petrochemical industry -> Must be able to be badged for unescorted access and obtain safe guards information clearance -> Must be proficient in MS Excel and Word as well as general computer use.
